The profile this little venture of ours has taken on in the business has been quite surprising. Agencies are using the information in all sorts of pretty serious ways. It seemed appropriate therefore for the industry to be represented – at a senior level – in the process and the reporting.
The Guest Editor joins us for the “Viewing and Voting” day, when we make the final 100 selections for The Showreel of The Year. The Guest Editor participates in the writing of the Report. The Guest Editor is available, in addition to me, to discuss the Report with the Press when we publish in January.
Craig Davis, then Chief Creative Officer of JWT Worldwide, was the first to join us in 2007. Then in 2008 it was Rémi Babinet, Chief Creative Officer of Euro RSCG Worldwide. And for 2009 it was Howard Draft, Founder and Chief Executive Chairman of Draftfcb. 2010’s was Marcello Serpa, Founder of Almap BBDO in Sao Paulo. 2011's was Mark Tutssel, Chief Creative Officer Worldwide for Leo Burnett.
